In Loving Memory of Anna Melvin

This site is dedicated in loving memory of my dear friend, Anna Melvin, who passed away on February 16th 2009.

You were a cheerful, kind, and compassionate friend to everyone around you. You could take any dull moment and turn it into pure gold. Your musical talent was nearly unsurpassed; whenever you lifted up your flute you filled the room with beautiful melodies.

I'll never forget when we met, you and your silly way of recruiting me as your computer science tutor, trying to get my attention but unable to overcome my shyness. Then one day you walked in with your hair BRIGHT RED and walked right up to me, saying "Hi, I'm Anna!" to which I could only reply, "Wow, um, er, your hair, it's really red." Thusly began one of the best friendships I've had in my life.

There was the constant chitchat about movies, especially your favorite series, Pirates of the Carribbean, and how excited you were for the next movie to come out. It's sad that you'll never get to see the fourth movie, but then again, maybe you will. I remember how addicted you were to the Wii game, and would spend hours just flailing with the Wiimote in a most hilarious fashion. Then there was that one night you wanted to cook dinner for Steve and I and everything that went wrong could go wrong.

Who knows how this world truly works? I like to believe that you're still here somehow, watching over all of your loved ones through the times as we mourn, get stronger, and eventually accept your passing. But none of us will ever get over it, you will always be missing from our lives.

Rest in peace, Anna. Your friends miss and love you, and will never forget you. I hope to see you in Heaven some day.
